One day in the midst of babylon. A youngster known by the name of (Mike) "Rehab" was Rhyming at local open mics (Foundations), in Pomona and other spots around Riverside, where he was known for coming straight from the heart cavity with freestyles on location. When one night at a house party he was cyphering with a kid known as (Drew) "Idiom," having the same passion for making good conscious music brought them together. Among and Idiom came down to Rehab's (lab) studio which also was his bedroom at the time, and has now converted to the garage They recorded a few songs, and Idiom had also made beats, with limited equipment. Rehab had recorded a song to one of the beats Idiom made and called it "Aimless Blame" which got a really good responce by the people who heard it. So this was the begining of the Magnum Opus crew. When they met up with a local emcee OddiSee aka Taesun, they called it "Paradigm" (2002). It made its way out to about 400 people. Most of them were given away. Idiom would soon drop "To Each His Own." The Relative Patients was now being formed, the world around us was changing. RP began to open for Artists, still ripping open mics. They gained Raspect and another warrior when they met up with (Winston) Twelve Tribes of Israel member emcee JAH W.O.M.B. (Wisdom Of Many Branches). Womb had 2 solo CD's already done, "Reborn" (2001) and "Pens & Needles" (2002), which was compiled togather into a compilation called "Old Testaments" (2004). Womb was featured on a few songs on the first Full-Length CD from Relative Patients called "Sleeping Epidemic" (2003), which also featured Among. It got into the ears of about 500plus worldwide and we still have copies of all moving. Since then we've performed all over Riverside county, from Los Angeles to San Fransisco, San Bernardino, Orange County, San Diego, Palm Desert, Fresno, Davis, Chicago, Mexico, etc. with artists like Zion I, Sach from the Nonce, Grand Agent, Writers Block, 2Mex, Xololanxinco, Adeem, Jah Faith, Patrick Greene, The Shapeshifters, Longevity, DJ Drez, Mix Master Wolf, Vyle, Animal Crackers, and countless others, from CD instrumentals to Live Bands and Spoken Word! In 2004 we connected the missing link of Relative Patients with "DJ E. regular." He keeps the beats and the cuts on point each and everytime!! REHAB, IDIOM, AND WOMB KEEP THE FIAH BURNING! Thru Christ teachings with Ras Tafari as the Head Creator, Jah will guide. Idiom just finished the first solo under Sativa Lung productions called "Righteous Song," which features the whole Relative fam, plus extended members Ras Kopo on vocals and instruments. RP plans on dropping the first full length with the entire crew this fall 2005, entitled "One Bloodline," along with collabs with various artists. New Solos from Womb, Rehab, Idiom, E-reg soon come. The sounds of righteousness and truth geared toward the youth thru Hip-Hop and Reggae music is the direction. Relative is gaining momentum and daily knowledge of wisdom and overstanding, with the focus on healthy living physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. You can feel the vibes at any Relative Patients performance. We are all releated with a common sickness searching for a cure. Relative Patients is the connection of bloodline from the first naked human being (Ethiopia) to the blood that runs threw each and every one of us...we are all one...its all RELATIVE! JAH BLESS!!! |
